Welcome to Alpine Veterinary Hospital!

We are a full-service veterinary medical facility for dogs and cats. It is our goal to provide your pet with the finest in veterinary medical and surgical care in a warm, caring and professional environment.  Alpine Veterinary Hospital has been under the ownership of father and daughter Doctor's Joe & Liz Clark since 2003 when the practice was purchased from Dr. Marlin Frank.  The hospital was moved from its original 10th Street location to 35th Ave in 2005. The professional and courteous staff at Alpine Veterinary Hospital seek to provide the best possible medical, surgical and dental care for their patients from the first visit through adulthood and into their senior years. .

We are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care, and health-related educational opportunities for our clients. Alpine Veterinary Hospital strives to offer excellence in veterinary care to Greeley and surrounding areas.

  • Elizabeth Clark, DVM

    Veterinarian, Owner

    Dr. Liz Clark was born in Greeley and raised in southern California.  She graduated from UC Davis school of Veterinary Medicine in July of 1995.  After receiving her DVM she returned home to work with her father Dr. Joe at Brawley Animal Clinic providing veterinary care for both large and small animals.  In 2003 the Clark family moved back to Greeley and purchased Alpine Veterinary Hospital.  Dr. Liz is very active in Rotary International and is a charter member of the Greeley after hours Rotary club.  She has a strong belief in giving back to the community and is especially interested in issues affecting animals and Seniors in our community.  She is the recipient of the Dennis White Humanitarian award and the Colorado Federation of Animal Welfare Agencies " Veterinary Partnership Award" and was Rotarian of the year in 2008.  When not at work Dr. Liz enjoys "fair weather" outdoor sports, photography, high school sporting events and travel.

  • Katie Hecke, DVM


    Dr. Katie Hecke grew up in Indiana.  She graduated from Purdue as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2016.  She practiced at a mixed animal practice in Indiana for about a year before moving to Colorado to be closer to her sister, niece, and nephews.  Dr. Katie joined the staff at Alpine Veterinary Hospital in 2017.  She has a special interest in internal medicine and dermatology.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, getting outside with her Labrador Zippy, and reading.
  • Erin McGill, CVT

    Certified Veterinary Technician

    Erin was born in Littleton, CO and spent most of her childhood in Alaska.  She moved back to Colorado in 2007.  Growing up, she always had a desire to work with animals and began working in the veterinary field in 2008.  Erin received her AAS in Veterinary Technology from Front Range Community College in May 2012 and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in August 2012.  She has been a member of the Alpine Veterinary Hospital team since 2010.  She has two dogs, a Chihuahua mix and a Border Collie mix.  In her spare time she enjoys photography, cooking, and spending time with her dogs.
  • Kim Matthews

    Veterinary Assistant

    Kim was born and raised in east Texas near Dallas.  She recently moved to Northern Colorado to be close to the mountains.  Having worked at a veterinary hospital in high school, she is excited to be back in the veterinary field.  She has a passion for all animals, especially her ferret Ruby, cat Maybelline, and dog Abby.  Kim is an avid hiker and looks forward to exploring the beauty of Colorado.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Ashley was born and raised in Colorado Springs.  She moved to Fort Collins in 2011 to attend Colorado State University where she graduated with a BS in Biological Sciences in May 2015.  Ashley has always had a passion for working with animals and has volunteered at therapeutic riding centers and animal shelters since high school.  In her spare time, she enjoys being with her pets, dancing, and snowboarding.

    Wendi was born and raised in North East Colorado.  She moved to Greeley when her daughter was born.  She has a strong love for people and their pets!  Wendi has two amazing kids, a son-in-law, a few cats, and two German Shepherds.  In her free time, she likes to walk her dogs, read, listen to live music, and go to the mountains.
  • Kiersten Bell

    Receptionist and Veterinary Assistant

    Kiersten was born and raised in Colorado.  She has always had a passion for helping animals.  She grew up taking care of all the livestock on her grandparents farm.  Kiersten graduated from Veterinary Assistant school in 2017.  Kiersten and her husband have an adorable two year old daughter and two German Shepherds.
  • Carly Thomas


    Carly was born in California and raised in Colorado Springs.  While having only just moved to Greeley in the summer of 2017, she has already fallen in love with friendly atmosphere, the loving animals, and the great people she has met.  Carly has two sisters, an amazing niece, brother-in-law, and two senior cats.  She spends her free time reading, skating, and baking or spending time with friends.
  • Cooper Dewitt

    Kennel Technician

    A native of Greeley, Cooper has cared for cats, fish, dogs and frogs for most of his life. With two degrees from Aims Community College and nearly a decade of work involving animal care, he has found working at Alpine Veterinary Hospital to be very rewarding. In fact, he was a kennel tech at the original location of Alpine Veterinary Hospital, while he was attending college!

    His three cats and two dogs keep him busy, and the pets of his nearby relatives enjoy plenty of his attention in his time off. He loves watching comedies, dining out, making campfires, and wants to get back into skiing this year.
  • Angie Buettner

    Kennel Technician and Veterinary Assistant

    Angie was born and raised in Southern Alabama.  Before moving to Colorado and joining our team in late 2016, she worked as a veterinary assistant and kennel technician for six years.  She earned her AAS in Veterinary Technology in 2015.  Alongside caring for animals, Angie also enjoys going hiking and exploring new places.
